Warranty
At Restart.md we offer a warranty for the work performed and/or the parts replaced, to provide you with safety and transparency. The warranty is granted according to these conditions and is valid only based on the service document (receipt/invoice/repair sheet).

Your convenience - our priority
1) How long is the warranty?
The durations below are indicative and may vary depending on the model, the type of part (original/premium/compatible) and the complexity of the work. The exact duration is indicated on the service document.
Phones / Tablets

Screen (display/touch): 6–12 months

Battery: 6–12 months

Charging jack / connectors: 3–6 months

Camera, microphone, speaker, vibration, sensors: 3–6 months

Motherboard repairs (micro-welding): 1–3 months (depending on the defect and the history of the device)

Liquid cleaning / oxidation: 0–30 days (only for the work performed, without being able to guarantee the evolution over time of the affected components)
Laptops / PC
-
Laptop screen: 6–12 months
-
Laptop battery: 3–12 months (depending on the type and availability of the part)
-
SSD / RAM (replacement/upgrade): 12–24 months (according to the manufacturer's warranty, if applicable)

Keyboard / touchpad / ports: 3–12 months
-
Cleaning + thermal paste: 30–90 days
-
Mainboard repairs: 1–3 months

Labor (work performed)
-
Labor is usually covered for 3–6 months, within the limits of the conditions below. (Example: the part is under warranty for 12 months, and the labor for 6 months – the terms mentioned on the document apply.)
2) What the warranty covers
The warranty covers:
-
functional defects arising from manufacturing causes of the part;
-
assembly problems (installation/compatibility/operation) under normal conditions of use;
-
symptoms that appear during the warranty period and are directly related to the part/service performed.
3) What the warranty DOES NOT cover (exclusions)
The warranty does not apply in the following situations:
-
mechanical damage: impacts, cracks, breakage, bending, pressure on the screen, traces of falling;
-
contact with liquids, humidity, condensation, oxidation (including after repair);
-
subsequent interventions made by the customer or another service (disassembly, replacement of parts, soldering, repairs);
-
improper use: non-compliant chargers, poor quality accessories, defective cables, unstable voltage;
-
defects independent of the work performed (other components that fail over time);
-
consumables and normal wear and tear: gradual decrease in battery capacity, scratches, discoloration, traces of use.
Important (batteries)
The battery is a consumable. The warranty covers functional defects (e.g. does not charge, suddenly shuts down, major instability), but does not cover normal wear and tear or the gradual decrease in capacity over time, if they fall within normal parameters of use.
Important (screens)
The warranty does not cover:
-
broken/cracked screens after delivery;
-
pressure marks, impact points, deep scratches;
-
damage caused by bent covers/cases or installation of non-compliant accessories.
4) Conditions for validating the warranty
To benefit from the warranty, the following are required:
-
the service document (receipt/invoice/sheet) and/or order number;
-
presentation of the device in the same physical condition in which it was delivered (without subsequent interventions);
-
seals/service markers (if applied) to be intact.
5) How to resolve a warranty request
Receipt and inspection (diagnosis)

Confirmation of warranty conditions (physical condition, traces of liquid, interventions)
-
If the warranty is confirmed: we repair the problem free of charge or replace the part (as applicable)
-
If the warranty is not confirmed: we communicate the findings and offer you options and costs before any intervention.

The resolution time depends on the complexity and stock of parts.
6) Devices with traces of liquid / oxidation
In the case of devices that have had contact with liquids, even if they work after the intervention, defects may occur later due to oxidation. For this reason:
-
the warranty applies strictly to the operation performed, within the limits of technical possibilities;
-
the long-term operation of already affected components cannot be guaranteed.
7) Data, privacy and software
In software repairs (system installation, optimization, malware cleaning), the warranty refers to the execution of the service, not to the behavior of third-party applications or subsequent use.
We always recommend backup. For data loss caused by pre-existing defects, we cannot provide guarantees.
